1. Start with Bag Geometry, Not Speed

The single most important selection parameter is your bag seal pattern, not production speed — both machines run at 100 bags/min. If your product requires a clean, uninterrupted printed front face (common in premium coffee or FMCG), select the MJ-350A center seal configuration where the seal runs invisibly down the back. If your application is a flat vacuum bag, facial mask sachet, or pharmaceutical flat pouch, the SBF three-side seal is the correct architecture.

Getting this wrong results in expensive retooling. Define your bag type before evaluating price.

2. Film Material Drives Seal Station Count

Not all flexible films seal at the same dwell time. Thicker multi-layer laminates (e.g., 85–120 μm aluminum foil composites for retort pouches) require longer seal contact to achieve the bond strength needed for drop-test compliance. The MJ-350A's 4-station seal head architecture distributes heat across the film dwell without reducing throughput speed. Single-layer LDPE and thin BOPP films seal easily at higher speeds with standard 2-station configurations.

When in doubt, share your film specification (material layers, total thickness, sealing temperature range) with our team — we will recommend the correct heat station count before quotation.

3. The SBF-350 vs SBF-500 Decision Is Simple

Both SBF models run identical speeds and control systems. The deciding factor is your maximum required bag width:

• SBF-350 — bags up to 350 mm wide. Suited for most food sachets, pharmaceutical flat packs, cosmetic masks, and small-to-medium format packaging up to 1,400 kg machine weight.

• SBF-500 — bags up to 500 mm wide. Necessary for large-format vacuum food bags (whole fish, large meat cuts), industrial sachets, or oversized flat pouches. Requires slightly more floor power at 2.2 kW.

If your widest SKU is under 320 mm, the SBF-350 saves capital cost and floor space with no performance tradeoff.

4. Accessory Configuration Determines Line Flexibility

A bare bag making machine produces a sealed, cut pouch. Adding accessories transforms it into a complete retail-ready packaging line. The accessories available for both the MJ-350A and SBF series include:

1. Hole punch unit — for hang-sell euro slots (retail hooks); adds a clean punched hole without tearing the laminate

2. Easy-tear notch cutter — V-notch or micro-perforation for consumer-friendly opening; critical for pharmaceutical and single-serve food formats

3. Euro slot attachment — oblong euro punch for display peg board hanging

4. Single film roll feed device — enables running single-layer (non-laminated) films, expanding substrate range
